Identity · 2025
A guesthouse identity that speaks at the volume of the house.
Aster House is a twenty-two-room guesthouse in a restored colonial building. The owners wanted an identity guests would notice on the second day rather than the first: present on keys, menus and signage, but never louder than the rooms themselves.

Challenge
The previous logo was decorative, failed at small sizes and clashed with the building’s original ironwork. Every printed item came from a different supplier, with no shared rules.
Approach
We drew a compact wordmark from the proportions of the window grilles, paired it with one serif for longer reading and wrote a two-page guide that local printers can follow on their own.
Result
The identity now runs across forty touchpoints, from room keys to the breakfast menu. Printing costs dropped because every item shares two paper stocks and one ink colour.
