A few things we have learned from a year of pinning work to the same wall every Friday.
Print it, then look again
Screens flatter everything. Once a week we print every project in progress at actual size and put the sheets side by side. Type that felt confident on a monitor often turns out to be too large, and images we thought were strong sometimes disappear next to each other.
Edit before adding
When a layout is not working, our first move is to remove something. A caption, a rule, a second typeface. It is surprising how often the problem was an element nobody needed.
The best review question we know is also the shortest: what can go?

Leave space in the calendar too
We schedule one unbooked day between project phases. It is where corrections happen without panic, and where the small details that clients remember usually get finished.
